The traditional approach to the treatment of slow draining and blocked drains is to use caustic or solvents. These products are corrosive, hazardous to use and are not compatible with subsequent wastewater treatment.
BFL Drain Clean brings together the benefits of biodegradable surfactants and natural citrus extract to penetrate and dissolve organic deposits in drains. These surfactants help to emulsify and mobilise organic material so that drains can be restored to free flowing.
BFL Drain Clean can be used to remove fat/grease deposits in drains prior to starting a dosing programme using the microbial product BFL Grease Clean. Once cleaned using BFL Drain Clean an ongoing maintenance programme using BFL Grease Clean will keep the drains clean.
Typical applications for BFL Drain Clean include drains from:
BFL Drain Clean is environmentally friendly and totally compatible with septic tanks, package treatment plants and municipal wastewater treatment systems. It will not harm drains and is safe to use.

Directions for use
Where it is required to remove greasy deposits from drains prior to introducing a BFL Grease Clean dosing programme mix 500ml BFL Drain Clean with 5 litres warm water. Add to the drains and allow to stand overnight. Repeat the dose over 4 nights. This process should be conducted for a week prior to pumping out the grease trap.
Where the drains are partially or completely blocked with grease, body fats or soap scum add 1 litre BFL Drain Clean and follow with 2 litres hot water. Allow to stand overnight. Repeat the dose every night until the drain clears. Stop dosing when drain clears.
BFL Drain Clean will not deal with blockages caused by cloths, plastic, rubble, wood, etc. Take care not to dose BFL Drain Clean directly to grease traps as it will mobilise the grease. This can lead to redeposition of grease in sewers and pumping stations.
StorageStore under cool, dry conditions. Storage temperature should be between 5 45oC.
Product safety
BFL Drain Clean contains no corrosive or harsh chemicals and will not harm metal, plastic or ceramic drain materials. The components of the product are completely biodegradable in accordance with OECD guidelines.
